Jack sent a picture. A person engaged in a creative fashion design or tailoring project. A man was working on a well-lit desk with a variety of patterned fabric laid out in front of him. Alongside the fabrics, there were various sewing essentials like threads in multiple colors, scissors, measuring tape, and pins.

“Is this you working on your yoga legging?” Question by Hanna, sales from Fit Fever, a seamless wear factory.

“No, it’s my customer. I’m looking for a manufacturer for his new project” Jack answered.

Hanna looked again at the picture on her mobile. The customer was using a laptop, which could imply they are looking up design ideas, and patterns, or possibly managing their business online. It’s a late-night work environment, often associated with dedicated craftsmanship and attention to detail in a creative endeavor.

Hanna understood that Jack was a distributor and an agent for the yoga leggings business. It’s a good opportunity to get an order and it would be a very good partnership for the buyer’s relentless work ethic. It’s a serious business.

    But not easy to start.

With years of expertise working with manufacturers, Jack had his strategy for deciding on a factory to work with.

    ● ● ● How to Find Manufacturers
    for Athletic Clothing

He had conducted market research to identify potential factories that specialize in producing yoga leggings seamless. He explored various sources such as industry directories, trade shows, and online platforms that connect manufacturers with distributors. This research enabled him to find factories that have the necessary expertise and resources to meet his customer's requirements.

Once Jack identified potential factories, he would evaluate their credibility and responsibility. He might consider factors such as their track record, reputation, quality control processes, and adherence to ethical and sustainable manufacturing practices.

After evaluating the factories, Jack would likely engage in negotiations with the chosen factory. This negotiation process would involve discussing production timelines, pricing, payment terms, and any specific requirements for the seamless leggings. Jack would also need to ensure that the factory can meet his customer's demands and can guarantee the desired level of quality.

Once an agreement is reached, Jack will commence sampling the seamless leggings according to the specifications provided by the customer. Throughout the sampling process, Jack may need to maintain regular communication with the factory to address any issues or changes that may arise.

Finally, once the samples are confirmed, Jack will arrange for their bulk production and deposit.

Overall,a responsible factory to produce seamless leggings, it’s the key principle.

    ● ● ● Sustainable Activewear Manufacturer

Now it’s time for a negotiation with Hanna.

As usual, Hanna and the distributor would discuss the specific requirements for the seamless legging customization, including design, fabric, color, size, and any other customization options desired by the distributor or their customers. They would also negotiate the pricing for the customized leggings, taking into account factors such as material costs, production expenses, and desired profit margins.

No logistics and shipping arrangements topics because Jack has been doing business with China for years and he had his own logistics partner.

All goes smoothly except for one point.

The customer wanted the leggings to be produced using sustainable activewear materials. This was in line with his vision to offer eco friendly leggings to his customers and contribute to a more sustainable fashion industry.

Hanna was taken aback by this request.

What are the sustainable materials to make clothes? For seamless wear, it's all about the yarn material. This means Hanna needs to find sustainable yarn for Jack's project.

Using sustainable yarn was a new idea for her and the factory she represented. However, Hanna was not one to back down from a challenge. She saw this as an opportunity to innovate and cater to a growing demand for sustainable products in the market.

After the meeting, she immediately set to work, researching sustainable yarn options, and understanding their properties. By talking with technicians, she figured out how they could be incorporated into the factory's production process.

Days turned into a whole week, and after much effort, Hanna was able to find a suitable sustainable yarn that met the quality standards required for seamless leggings. She also managed to tweak the factory's production process to accommodate this new material, ensuring that the quality of the leggings was not compromised.

With a sense of accomplishment, Hanna presented her findings to Jack. She explained the properties of the sustainable yarn, how it would impact the leggings' comfort and durability, and how the factory had adapted its production process to accommodate this new material.

Jack was impressed with Hanna's dedication and the lengths she had gone to meet his request. He appreciated the factory's willingness to innovate and adapt, and he was excited about the prospect of offering sustainable yoga leggings to his customers.

And so, Jack and Hanna's negotiation concluded successfully, with both parties feeling satisfied and looking forward to their future collaboration.

They decide to move to sampling.

    ● ● ● Last Challenge: Sampling

The choice of sustainable fabric was settled, and the rest part could be easier.

The customer's comprehensive artwork showed the details.

    Design requirements

    1. No front seam
    2. Back scrunch
    3. Pocket
    4. Careful sizing

    Quality requirements

    • 1. Goats Stitching.
    • 2. squat proof
    • 3. Able to satisfy end customers who used to only wear Lulu

When sampling, the pattern-maker creates paper patterns based on the customer’s tech pack. However, translating these digital patterns into physical samples may encounter challenges and discrepancies. Factors like actual fabric hand feel, sewing techniques, and fit can affect the outcome, leading to the need for adjustments and modifications to achieve the desired result.

That is why communication plays a crucial role in the back-and-forth process. Communication between designers and pattern-makers is important to ensure that everyone is aligned on the desired outcome. Clear and effective communication helps in addressing any concerns or issues that may arise during the sample-making process.

They soon welcomed the revision instruction from the customer.

    1. a bit more tummy compression
    2. More stretch
    3. cm Lower waist high

After weeks of meticulous planning and several revisions, Jack and Hanna finally got the workout tights with pockets they were proud of. The knitting material was sustainable, the fit was comfortable yet durable, and the sizing was just right.

Jack was nervous yet excited as he presented the legging sample to his customer. The customer approved it.

A wave of relief washed over Jack and Hanna. Their hard work had paid off. The customer's approval meant that their legging would soon be in yoga studios and retail stores across the country. It was a dream come true for both of them.

In the days that followed, Hanna worked tirelessly to prepare for the mass production of the leggings. Hanna coordinated with the factory PMC, ensuring that each pair of leggings was made to the exact specifications of the approved sample.
